The format

How an Americano works

  1. Book a spot on your own

Pick a game at your level. You don't need a partner or a group; most people come solo.

  2. Rotate partners each round

Rounds are short, usually to 21 or 24 points. After each one you switch partners and opponents.

  3. Points go on your own tally

Every point you win counts for you. The leaderboard is up at the end, then it's chai and photos.

About

Courts were here. The community wasn't.

Padel Culture started because West Delhi had courts but no community. South Delhi has its collectives and weekly games; we wanted the same thing closer to home. We run social Americano games where you rotate partners every round, so you meet everyone on court and nobody needs to bring a fixed partner. Beginners are welcome at every game we tag as open level.

Questions

Before your first game

What is an Americano?

A social padel format. Everyone plays short matches to a fixed number of points, and partners rotate every round. Your points add up individually, so by the end you've played with and against most of the group and there's a leaderboard to show for it.

I've never played padel. Can I come?

Yes. Look for games marked Beginner or All levels. Bring trainers with a flat sole; we can sort out a racket if you message us before the game.

Do I need a partner?

No. Sign up on your own. Americano pairs you with someone new every round.

How do I pay?

Payment details are shared when you book your spot. Cancel at least 24 hours before so someone on the waitlist can take your place.

How long is a game?

Most sessions run 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the number of players and courts.
